Donate to the Performing Arts Boosters

Reasons to give
  • Family contributions fund nearly everything the school budget can’t — instructional staff, travel to festivals and competitions, instrument repair, uniforms, and props.
  • We’re an all-volunteer 501(c)(3), so nearly every dollar goes straight to the students.
  • A gift of $350 or more a year is a full membership, which includes family admission to all regular concerts at Eagle Theater.
  • One form covers every program — give by credit card, check, or donor-advised fund.

Membership and concert admission

A gift of $350 or more per year makes you a full member of the Performing Arts Boosters. Full membership includes family admission to all regular concerts at Eagle Theater, the theater on the Los Altos High School campus.

Family admission means immediate family: parents and siblings. Full members receive an email confirming membership — present that email at the door for admittance.

Gifts of any size are welcome and make a difference, whether or not they reach the membership level.

Ways to give

The donation form handles all three, so start there whichever way you plan to give:

If you’re giving by check or through a donor-advised fund, the form acts as a pledge — filling it out is the single most helpful thing you can do, even if the gift itself arrives later.

A note on our name: Los Altos High Eagle Band Boosters is our legal name, and it’s what banks, donor-advised funds, and employer matching portals know us by. We do business as the Los Altos High School Performing Arts Boosters. Both are the same organization, EIN 77-0525170.

Double your gift with employer matching

Many employers match charitable donations dollar for dollar, and some match at two or three times your gift. It is the easiest way to increase your impact, and a large share of matching money goes unclaimed every year simply because families don’t think to ask.

Check your company’s giving portal and search for our legal name, Los Altos High Eagle Band Boosters, or look us up by EIN 77-0525170. If your employer needs anything from us to complete the match, email donate@lahsperformingartsboosters.org and we’ll take care of it.

Marching Band & Color Guard

Marching Band & Color Guard is our largest undertaking, so it runs its own fundraising campaign, separate from the Back-to-School campaign on this page. MBCG donations pay for the parts of the season that nothing else covers: marching band and color guard instructional staff, the mid-season band camp, the trip to the WBA Class Championships, the show t-shirt every student receives, and meals at rehearsals, games, and competitions.

The suggested donation is $1,000 per student. If you’re able, please consider joining our circle of key donors at the $3,000, $5,000, or $10,000 level — gifts at that scale are what let us keep the program open to every LAHS student. Gifts of any size are tax-deductible.

Give to the MBCG campaign

Everything above about ways to give — check, donor-advised fund, employer matching — applies to MBCG gifts too. More about the season and the program is on the Marching Band & Color Guard page.

Tax-deductible

Los Altos High Eagle Band Boosters — doing business as the Los Altos High School Performing Arts Boosters — is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Your donation is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. EIN 77-0525170.
